The Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS) serves the countries of Curaçao and Sint Maarten. It was established in 1828 as the Bank van de Kolonie Curaçao, making it one of the oldest central banks in the Americas, and in 1920, was reorganized as the Bank of the Netherlands Antilles, serving Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba, and Sint Maarten. With the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles, Curaçao and Sint Maarten became separate autonomous countries and as part of this process, the CBCS was established on October 10, 2010. It is led by President Richard Doornbosch, appointed on August 7, 2020.
